Aloha from Hawaii,
Born and raised in the Hawaiian Islands I just love the natural beauty of this Aina (land). God has created many beautiful places in this world, I just happen to live in one of them. I grew up on the Windward Side of the island of Oahu (the gathering place) many locals refer to this part of the island as “God’s Country” because of the majestic Koolau mountains and ocean shores. I used to climb this mountain peak (4000ft elevation) many times in my youth to see as much as seventy-percent of the islands beauty. As for the American Bald Eagle, I first drew inspiration from the events of 9/11. It was a difficult time for all true Americans. I just wanted to embrace this symbol of American strength, grace and beauty as part of my work. To me Hawaii and this great country is a gift from Heaven. It is truly a blessing for our family to live and grow here together.
